Shahrul Anuar received his Bachelor of Fine Art in Shah Alam, studied at Tutor School of Art, USM Pennag, and received MA, Art Education University of Education Sultan Idris, Perak.

He is both an artist and a lecturer, the Head of Department of F.A. School of Art 7 Design IKIP / UiTM. He had held solo and group exhibitions locally and overseas. He won the Philip Morris Malaysia Art Award 2001 Competition. His works had been collection by private and public sectors.
