    Title : Rambutans Medium : Chinese ink on rice paper Year : 1967 Some red rambutans hang from the branches tantalizingly. They are hairy and seemingly juicy. A renowned calligraphic master Dr. Ho K.C from Ipoh wrote the verses to express his nostalgic longing for the lychees when he saw the branch of rambutans in the garden setting. The two kinds of fruit look similar but taste different. The memory and the longing for the latter invoked from looking at the painting stirred the calligrapher's heart strings.
